GALVESTON DAILY NEWS. Mrs. Mary Speaker died November 24, 1916 at 2 a.m., age 81 years. Funeral was held at 816 44th Street Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. F. M. Lennartz officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
Note: Mary had red hair per wife of Fred Speaker, Alice Meyer Speaker. Fred and Alice and Mary lived together when Fred and Alice were married.
Mary was the third wife of Theodor Speaker. Their infant daughter and his children from previous marriages immigrated to the USA in 1873.
It is impossible to trace records past her parents. In this area and time many people were tenant farmers. Surnames were not important so families took on the name of the farm where they worked. When a family changed farms their surname also changed to match the farm name.

NOTE: Padaerborn is incorrect. The Catholic Archives are in Padaerborn for this district. She was born near Delbruck, a short distance from Erwitte. Both were n Prussia. Could not get F/G to correct.
