Her parents were Gerard Hyers 1743-1812 and his wife Mary. They were from Brick Twp, NJ. According to the 1860 census she and her husband John Runyon farmed there. Her parents, her son William H. Runyon, and another son Gilbert H. Runyon had farms next door. Her 3rd great grandfather, Walter Hyers, came over in the 1660's to NY from Surrey on the Thames, England. Then to NJ.
