Mike Geerdes, of Fritch, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016.

Mike was born September 2, 1942 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Ronald Kerr and Dorothy Lee (Caldwell) Geerdes. For a number of years he worked in Nashville, Tennessee at Bouchard Foundry. Later he began working as an over the road driver for Baldwin Trucking until retiring. He was a talented and gifted singer. He also loved to play video games, computer games, and fishing. He also loved poker, but wasn't very good at it!

He is preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Geraldine Geerdes; his brother, Ronnie Geerdes; his sister, Jane Fisher and 2 step-sisters: Geneve Geerdes and Sharon Mittlestet.

He is survived by a daughter, Donna and husband Ron Mowles, of Phoenix, Arizona; 2 sons: Stephen and wife Stacy of Charlotte, North Carolina and Donald Geerdes of Borger, Texas; 2 brothers: David K. Geerdes of Fritch, Texas and Monty and wife Elaine Geerdes of Sulpa, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren; Roxan, Madison and Ashton and 2 great grandchildren; Quentin and Cedric.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Westlawn Cemetery, Borger.

Family will receive visitors on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 5-7 PM at the Chapel of the Fountains in Borger.

Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger
