Yates Gorman Hovis, age 90, of Lincolnton, and formerly Iron Station, was a son to the late Gorman Edgar and Ila Helderman Hovis. He was preceded in death by a brother Stacey Hovis; his first wife Louise Coley Hovis.
He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Hovis was brick mason early in life and later retired from Gaston County Dye as a welder.
Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
