Elmer was born in Trousdale, TN, in 1919. After high school, he joined the Army and was a mechanic during WWII. He married Maurine Precure and they adopted three girls. He moved to Edmond in 1998 where he met Thelma McCurdy. They were married in 1999.
Elmer is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Maurine and his second wife, Thelma. He is survived by daughters Christina Stoner, Eileen Stoner, and Sheryl Precure; four step children Donene Bengtson, Louann Millard, Mike Hearn and Gary Hearn; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Elmer was a strong and true believer in the Lord.
