Bonnie Eileen (Agerlie) Flaagan was born on December 4, 1956, in Minneapolis, MN to Oliver and Lola (Smith) Agerlie. She was the second of five children. Bonnie was baptized and confirmed at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Richfield, MN. She grew up and graduated from Richfield High School in 1975, where she participated in Volleyball, gymnastics and track. She went on to Moorhead State University, majoring in Elementary Education. While at MSU, she was an active Delta Zeta and a member of the dance team. She later transferred to St. Cloud State where she performed with the SCSU Folkdancers. Bonnie graduated from SCSU in 1979, and began her 35 year teaching career. She later completed her Master’s Degree in Education in 1997.
Bonnie married Kevin Dale Flaagan on July 12, 1980. Together they proudly raised their two boys, Reid and Drew. Bonnie’s happiest days were running with Kevin to all their boys’ activities. Kevin, Reid and Drew were always the center of her life and she was so proud of the people they have become.
Bonnie enjoyed long bike rides, swimming laps at the pool, reading, photography, traveling with Kevin and spending time with family and friends. She felt fortunate to have a career that she enjoyed going to (almost) every day. She enjoyed her Bible study group, Book Club and being a member of P.E.O.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin of Beulah; two sons, Reid of Mandan and Drew of Watford City; her dad and step-mother, Oliver and Sunny of Bloomington, MN; two special sisters, Anita Guillotel of Savage, MN, Carol and Chuck Radniecki of Coon Rapids, MN; two wonderful brothers, Jerry Agerlie of Savage, MN, Rick Agerlie and Angela Delhoe of Eau Claire, WI; her in-laws, Dale and Carol Mae Flaagan of Tolna, ND, Brian Flaagan of Littleton, CO, Jamie and Therese Flaagan of Eagle, CO, Shane and Shelly Flaagan of Tolna; 14 special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lola (Smith) Agerlie.
