Mr. Clyde M. Adcock, age 69, of Joe Frank Harris Parkway, Adairsville, passed away Friday morning, February 19, 2016.
He was born in Cartersville, GA, February 28, 1946, son of Anna Fields Sexton and the late Luther Howard Adcock. He was a member of Crowe Springs Baptist Church. He loved his family, and enjoyed watching NASCAR and going fishing. Mr. Adcock is preceded in death by his father; his daughter, Rebecca Carol Harper; and great-grandson, Justin Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Gina Walker of Adairsville; sons, Billy Dean Adcock of Adairsville and Mark Anthony Adcock, SR of Adairsville; mother, Anna Sexton of Cassville; son-in-law, Gary Harper of Calhoun; step-daughters, Kelly Stewart of Adairsville and Jennifer (Rusty) Hopkins of Adairsville; mother of his children, Linda Faye Jennings; grandchildren, Mark (Tabitha) Adcock, Dustin Adcock, Tyler (Stephanie) Adcock, Scott Adcock, Kayla (Russell) Jones, Bruce Harper, Aaron Harper, Brooke Avery, Madison Avery, and Beau Avery; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Geraldine) Adcock, Carl (Kathy) Adcock, and Charles (Emileen) Adcock; sister, Annie Mae Wyatt; best friend, James Ray and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 21, 2016, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Jarmon officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Cartersville. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at Barton Funeral Home.
