Charles LeRoy Bermingham, 84, of Redding, died at home.

Born in Dunsmuir, he was a longtime Shasta County resident.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a radio repairman for the telephone company in Redding and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Elks Lodge 1073, both in Redding.

Survivors include wife, Margaret of Redding; son, Kevin of Yuba City; daughters, Shauna Ratterree of Caldwell, Idaho, Sheila Flaherty of Igo, and Elizabeth Overstreet of Lake Oswego, Oregon; brother, Francis of Merced; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were held at the Elks Lodge 1073, with family members officiating.
