Millie was born on March 20, 1929, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to "Porky" and Mary Motschenbacher. In 1947, she graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. That same year, she met her future husband, Ray Zarosinski, while he was picking up parts at the auto body shop, where Mom worked. Three months later, they were married. Together, they had five children.
Millie and Ray moved to Bend from Klamath Falls in 1977. They commuted since 1975 when they started a new logging and mill supply business Zarosinski Industries, which was co-owned by Ray; his brothers, Joe, Don, Ed and Lou; and a family friend, Jack Polich. Millie was bookkeeper for the Bend store for many years . She enjoyed her work there until her retirement.
Besides Millie's deep and abiding faith in God, she enjoyed family gatherings, her dogs and cats "putzying" in her garden, watching sports, and 5 o'clock wine time (not a moment before) and her dear friends and neighbors in Bend. Her move from Bend to Medford in 2012 to be near her daughters, brought her the greatest joy. She was able to celebrate every occasion imaginable with her girls and her Medford family. Together, Judy (Larry) and Tz (John) were her team in assisting her in her final years with her son, Doug, coming from Louisiana for visits and calling frequently.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bud; two sisters, Phyllis and Ruth; her son, Donnie, in 1948; her husband, Ray, in 1999; and her youngest son, Joe, in 2010.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Doug (Gail) Zarosinski of Lafayette, La.; daughters, Tz (John) Fargason and Judy (Larry) Mehlmauer of Medford; daughter-in-law, SheIley Zarosinski of Bend; grandchildren, Mike (Amy) Zarosinski, John (Lesley) Fargason, Benji (Heather) Fargason, Jerome Zarosinski and Devon Malone; great-grandchildren, Morgan Zarosinski, Olivia Fargason, Clare Fargason and Caleb Fargason. Surviving Zarosinski in-laws include Don (Dorothea), Helen, Darlene, and Joey. Others include niece, Mary Davis; nephew, John (Pam) Jackson; niece-in-law, Leslie Jackson-Carmickle and their families; and nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
