Mildred was born to Anthony and Verona Bechtel Cramer. She attended Mother of Sorrows School at North Auburn and was a 1934 graduate of New Washington High School. She completed business courses at Marion Business College.
Milderd married Edward Joseph Burger on 25 oct 1941. Her husband was a farmer and they resided on a farm in Tiro. She was an office worker at North Central Electric Company in Attica. She also worked at the Agricultural Conservation Program in bucyrus. Following her husbands death in 1963, she assisted at the rectory at both Mother of Sorrows Catholic church, and St Bernards Catholic Church in New Washington for 15 years keeping house.
She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Parish for many years before moving to Shelby in 1992. She was currently a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Shelby, the Rosary Altar Society, AARP, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, St Ann's Society, St Francis auxiliary in Tiffin and Crawford County Genealogical Society
She is survived by four daughters, Sharon and Gerald Snyder of Swanton, Ohio, Jean and Edward Daniels of Points Robert, Washington, Carolyn and Lee Kaple of Shelby, Mary Ann and Dick Clady of Shelby; one son Thomas and Sharon Burger of Delta, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister Gertrude Pittinger of Knoxville, Tenn and a sister-in-law, Mary Powell of New Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Ruth Ann Burger in 1951; an infant son; a sister and brother-in-law, Robert and Adele Darrah and two brothers-in-law Francis Powell and Dr. Charles Pittinger.
