WINFIELD, Bertha (Sapp) "Pee Wee" age 88 of Englewood, OH, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012. Bertha was born October 2, 1924 in Paris, KY, daughter of the late John and Lucy (Linville) Sapp. She was a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital for over 50 years. Bertha worked with the Leukemia Society as a volunteer and board member after losing her son, Bart, to leukemia. She was instrumental in starting hospital blood banks in the community. Bertha was a loving, caring and giving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be loved and remembered always. Mrs. Winfield is survived by her son, Bradley (Sherri) Winfield; daughter, Candace (Doug) Aldstadt; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan (fiance, Brooke Jung) and Andrew Aldstadt, Brandon, Nicholas, Whitney, Lindsay and Mason Winfield; special friend, Doyle St. John; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Winfield; son, Bart Winfield; 3 sisters and 4 brothers. A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St., Dayton, OH 45415. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors 5-8 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the funeral home.
