Mr. White was born Dec. 7, 1914, in McMinnville. He served in the Oregon National Guard from 1931 to 1939 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a firefighter for the Portland Fire Bureau for 30 years and retired in 1970. His first wife, Ethel, died in 1979.
Survivors include his wife, Jeane of Cannon Beach; daughters, Beverly White of Portland and Bette Bronson of Aloha; brothers, Harry and Pierre, both of Portland; and two grandchildren.
Disposition was by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the American Legion Post 168, PO Box 593, Cannon Beach, Ore. 97110. Arrangements are by Young's Funeral Home.
