Roy's wife, Agnes, died in 1943. Marvin Steel died within the next few years. Roy remarried Corinne Phillips Steele around 1948, in his home at 14140 Grandmont Road, Detroit. She was a comfort to the family. There were no children born to this second marriage. She died in 1965.
