Mr. Daniel W. "Bud" Adams, age 47, of Old Fort, N.C. passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mr. Adams was born in McDowell County on October 9, 1956 and was the son of the late Daniel Weisinger Adams and Margaret Simmons Adams.
He graduated from McDowell High School in 1974; was a US Air Force Veteran serving from 1976-1980; was Superintendent of Black Mountain Golf Club; Member of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America; Member of Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association; Member of Turfgrass Council of North Carolina; Past President of the Marion Airport Commission; was a Private Pilot and an Avid Golfer.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Jean Hensley Adams, of the home; one daughter, Erin Marie Adams of Charlotte and one sister, Shelia R. Adams of Old Fort.
Interment will be in Adams Cemetery.
