ranch near Moore, going to the Moore schools, and graduating from the Moore High School. She married Harold McAffee on Sept.15, 1932, at Logan, UT. They had four children, Doris Joan, Douglas John (who died in infancy), Rex Lloyd, and Dennis Harold. They farmed in the Lost River Valley for several years. Growing tired of farming, they went to Washington where Harold trained to become a pipe-fitter. This led to jobs on the Grand Coulee dam project, a large project in Puerto Rico, and work at the Hanford, WA, Atomic Energy plant, as well as doing plumbing work as an independent contractor. She and Harold lived in many places during their marriage, because of he following construction work over the western states. After the death of her husband in 1987, she lived alone in St.George, UT, and after having a stroke in 1996, she moved to a Payson, UT, rest home, near the home of her daughter Joan Sheets.
