Eilene J. Adams, 72, of Mount Gilead died Saturday October 8, 2005 in Morrow Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

She was born on August 4, 1933 in Morrow County the daughter of the late Ivan V. and Ethel C. (Carr) Sherman.

She married Arnold D. Adams on February 18, 1967. She worked several factory jobs and retired as the manager of the Leaf Convenience store at Route 95 and Route 71. Eilene was a member of the Pulaskiville Community Bible Church for over 30 years. She loved gardening and taking care of her lawn. It was said that she had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes. She was known as a classy lady with a strong will and a strong Christian faith. Above all else she will be known as a caregiver and someone who loved helping people out.

She is survived by her husband Arnie, their two children Sherry (Terry Wines) Adams of Columbus, Ohio and John E. Adams of Cardington, Ohio, a grandson; Josh Adams, two sisters Beverly Sherman of Mount Vernon, Ohio and Faye (Chuck) Poff of Fredericktown, Ohio, a very special niece Robin (Shane) Forster, close friends; Linda and Alan Squires, family friend Erica Lemke, other loving nieces and nephews, and many more dear friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Jeffery Head, a brother Ray Sherman, and a sister Elaine Williams.
