Mrs. Logan T. Davis died suddenly from heart disease last night about 9:?? o'clock at her home, 344 Twenty-Seventh street. Mrs. Davis was at supper with her family. She was in excellent spirits and seemed well until she retired to her room for the night, when she was stricken. Several physicians were summoned, but death came before any of them reached the patient's bedside.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Mr. Logan T. Davis, and seven children; Mrs. A.V. Dillon, Mrs. E.C. Skinner, Mr. Allan H. Davis, Mrs. Louise Frazier, Misses Leola Henly Davis, Elizabeth B. Davis and Grace Logan Davis. She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, all of Williamsburg.
Brief funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow morning at 5:30 o'clock by Rev. W. Aubrey Christian, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church. The body will be taken to Williamsburg on the 10:05 o'clock train for interment.
Mrs. Davis had lived here with her family for the past 17 years. She had a wide circle of friends, to whom the news of her death will come as a shock.
She was the daughter of John and J.A. Badkins. She married Logan Tazewell Davis on 17 February 1875.
