NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — Alma Jean ‘A.J.’ Lockett, 83,. was a loving mother and grandmother and she was one of a kind. She never met anyone that she did not like. Everyone knew her smile, her thick Texas accent, contagious laugh and her love for Ernest Tubb. A.J. had a great love of real country music and she was the ‘Queen of the Stockyards.’
She is survived by her sons, Larry Lockett and wife Lory, Gary Lockett and wife Sandra; brother, R.D. Koonsman and sister-in-law Susie Koonsman; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
