Marjorie J. Danforth, age 92, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Harbor View Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Marge was born on April 10, 1923 in Manitowoc to the late Alex and Rose Daron Hermann. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1941. Marge had worked at Schuette Brothers Company Department Store from 1941 until the store closed in 1993. On November 22, 1950, Marge married Forrest C. Danforth in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2001. Marge enjoyed spending her time gardening, planting flowers and shopping.

Survivors include Marge's three children: Jon (Lynn) Danforth, Manitowoc; Paula Danforth, Ocala, FL; and Lisa (Richard) Bartz, Stoughton; two step-sons: Forrest L. (Jill) Danforth, Washington Island; and James Danforth, Wausaukee, and his special friend, Ella Schoknecht, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Melanie Danforth, Manitowoc; and Meredith (Aaron) Deimund, Oshkosh; six step-grandchildren: Amanda, Kali, Amber, Scott, and Mark Danforth, and Jamie Zuege; several step great grandchildren; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marge was preceded in death by her parents: Alex and Rose Hermann; husband: Forrest C. Danforth; and sister: Vivian Graycarek.

A service of comfort will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Kujawski officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. Cremation will take place at a later date at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Marge's cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery.
