Pauline Armstrong, age 73, of Mount Vernon, died Monday December 16, 2002 at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. Pauline was born March 29, 1929 in Knox County to Charles and Margaret (Smith) Schnebly and had spent her lifetime in Knox County.

She had been employed as a cook for the Mount Vernon Nursing Home in Mount Vernon for several years.

Pauline was a member of the Brandon Baptist Church where she was active with Church Women United and the Baptist Women's Missionary Society.

Surviving are her husband Stanley Armstrong whom she married November 28, 1948; seven sons Rev. Charles (Cathy) Armstrong of Orrville, Donald (Jeannie) Armstrong, Gordon Armstrong, Paul (Bonnie) Armstrong, Leonard (Shelley) Armstrong, James (Cathy) Armstrong and Elva Armstrong all of Mount Vernon; 13 grandchildren and a great grandson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter Tammy Annette Armstrong.
