Robert Smith Hanover, 92, formerly of Lafayette, died at 6:48 AM Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2002, in Antigo, WI. Born April 29, 1909, at Bucyrus, OH, he came to Lafayette in the 1960s. On Sept. 12, 1930, he married Estella McCullough, and she died Dec. 7, 1977. On April 21, 1981, he married Pearl Pennington, who survives.

Mr. Hanover retired from Lehmann Machine Shop of Lafayette, working there 14 years. He moved to Wisconsin about 1979, and was a member of the Antigo United Methodist Church there.

Surviving with his wife are a son, William Hanover of Danville, IL; and a daughter, Lola Bisner of New Castle.
