Veronica (Cook) Phalen, 71, of Sheboygan, died on Friday, February 26, 2016. Veronica was born on July 23, 1944 in Keshena to the late Albert and Marie (Ahkenokosay) Cook. She was united in marriage to John Phalen, who preceded her in death. Veronica enjoy playing bingo and going to the casino. She was a special auntie who was loved by her nieces and nephews. Veronica is survived by: one sister, Beatrice (Cook) Messner of Sheboygan; one brother, Warren "Buddy" (Anita) Kaquatosh of Keshena; two step-sisters, Beverly Klemp of Eagle River and Mickoleen Kormann of Sturgeon Bay; and one step-brother, Harold (Darlene) Price of Bowler. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband, John; her son, Jamie; her parents; and three brothers, Albert, William, and Michael. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Melissa Cook Residence located at N2865 Morrin Street in Keshena from 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2016 until the procession leaves for the church on Tuesday. A Parish Wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016.
