Harold B. Hribal Sr., 87, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at the Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant, after a brief acute illness, with his family present. Harold was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Smithfield, Ohio, a son of the late Charles and Emily Rehanek Hribal. Harold was a retired steelworker employed by the Irvin Works, a World War II veteran, having served with the Army in Germany, a member of the American Legion Post 446, Mt. Pleasant, Mt. Pleasant Fireman's Club, Polish Falcons and Hecla Sportmens Clubs.

Harold enjoyed the simple things in life. After his wife's illness, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his friends at the Fireman's Club. Surviving are his children, Ralph Hribal (Eileen) and Donna Loucks (Karle), of Mt. Pleasant, and Harold Hribal Jr. (Tina), of Murrysville; grandchildren, Kelly Hribal, Sean Hribal, Justin Loucks, Trisha Yurko, Ryan Hribal and Alex Hribal; and great-grandchildren, Harrison Loucks, Julia Loucks, Ava Yurko, Alexa Yurko, Luke and Mia Hribal. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Retha Stoner Hribal; stepson, Michael Stoner Hribal; infant grandson, Adam Loucks; brothers, Charles "Buster" Hribal and Covert Hribal; and a sister, Rozella Zaucha.

The family is inviting friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, 724-547-2122, where private services for the family will be held Monday, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
