Margaret Greeman, 97, Deering, ND, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, in a Minot hospital.

Margaret was born July 2, 1908 in St. Anthony, ND, the daughter of Jacob and Magdaline Thomas. She was raised and educated in St. Anthony.

On July 11, 1927 Margaret married Michael Greeman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Foxholm. Together they raised five children.

On February 28, 1947 they moved to a small farm outside of Deering, ND, where she lived out the rest of her life raising cattle and chickens. Her husband Mike died in January of 1983.

In the last year of her life she was cared for at home by her great granddaughter, Melissa Leigh and her husband C.J. and their two children Paige and Alyson.

Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Foxholm and St. Philomena's Catholic Church in Glenburn.

Survivors: Son, Jacob Greeman, Deering; daughters, Rosie Fredrickson, Deering and Anna Marie Salvey, Minot; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren; sister, Julia Jundt and brother, Jacob Thomas, both of Yakima, WA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Greeman; daughters, Julia Baumgarten and Elizabeth Greeman; her parents, Jacob and Magdaline Thomas; ten sisters and one brother.
