Mr. Conolly was born March 13, 1892 in Hartford, Mich., and lived in Port Huron 24 years.
He was a graduate of Michigan State University. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Navy. Mr Conolly was employed in poultry research at MSU for many years. When he came to Port Huron, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired. Mr. Conolly was a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), American Association of Retired Persons and Charles Hammond Post 8, American Legion. he helped organize and was a member of Senior Citizens. He was active in the Adult Activity Center. He was quartermaster and a member of Leo F. White Barracks 659. Mr. Conolly was past president of NARFE, Chapter 12.
He is survived by his wife, the former Alice m. Stoner; a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Frances) Sperow, Ovid; several grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Stoner, Port Huron, and several nieces and nephews.
