Nelson M. Ace, 43, of 572 Third Street, died at 12:45 pm Monday in Franklin Hospital, where he'd been since Sunday afternoon. He had been in ill health for some time, and suffered a stroke on Memorial Day. Son of Frank L. and Blanche Kridler Ace, he was born at Callensburg Oct. 27, 1919.

He was employed at Franklin Steel Division of Borg Warner until his illness about 10 years ago.

He married Annabelle B. McCartney April 25, 1943, and she survives, with his father, Frank L. Ace of Sligo; a son, Terry L.; daughter Linda D.; and step-son, James R. Wolfe, all at home; a brother, Henry W. Ace, and a sister, Flora V. Ace, of Clarion.

Services will be at 1:30 pm Thursday in Huff Chapel with Rev. Andrew Slozat, pastor of Pilgrim Holiness Church, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
