Vanna Anna Stocker McDonald, age 85, of Kuna, passed away February 24, 2016.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 11, 2016, at the Kuna Cemetery. Chaplain Doug Kempe of Harrison Hope Hospice will officiate. Services are under direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.

Vanna was born October 29, 1930, in Edwards, Montana to Parmelia Armita and Henry William Stocker. Growing up she lived in a number of different places in Montana. After her marriage to Percy William McDonald they moved to Boise, Idaho where they eventually purchased a farm on Eagle Road where they lived for almost 30 years. They later moved to the Kuna area. After Percy retired, he and Vanna spent a number of years travelling to visit family, friends and to see new places. When possible these trips included their daughters, Marlene and Effie and grandsons, Joe, Sam and Eric. For years they went to the Jordan, MT fair so they could visit with the many people they knew from the area.

Vanna enjoyed having animals to tend and in later years especially enjoyed her pets. She also enjoyed various hobbies including gardening, ceramics, sewing and crocheting, along with tending a variety of house plants including her favorite African violets. Vanna will always be remembered as being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. To the very end she always had a big smile for everyone.

Survivors include her daughters: Marlene (Bruce) Sibert of Homedale, and Effie Schultsmeier of Kuna; grandchildren: Joe (Stacey) Sibert, Sam Sibert and Eric Schultsmeier; great grandchildren: Tayler, Tanner, Teanna and Megyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to those individuals at Harrison Hope Hospice and the Kuna Living Center whose devoted care and compassion provided such comfort and support to Vanna during her final years.
