Julia Achurch Adams, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Crestus "Ted" Lee Adams, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016.

Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 4, 2016 in the Grace Church Cathedral, 98 Wentworth Street at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Julia was born May 14, 1934 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Robert Waller Achurch and Sue Rivers Thomas Achurch. She attended the College of Charleston where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and was a member of Grace Church Cathedral. As a nurse, Julia loved learning and helping others.

Julia is survived by four children: Elizabeth "Betsy" Bize Baldwin of Carrabella, FL, John Alexander Bize of Sykesville, MD, Paul Trice Bize of Gainseville, VA and Susan Bize Jeffries of Bristow, VA; brother, Robert Waller Achurch, Jr. of St. Helena Island, SC and seven grandchildren; step-daughter, Victoria Quinlan of Kennebunk, Maine and 3 step-grandchildren.
