Leonard was born to Leonard A and Genevieve Gleason Hamilton. He was a member of Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church. He owned and operated Jerry's Garage and was formerly employed at Ideal Electric, where he was a member of the Union Board.
He is survived by his wife Dianna Cline Hamilton; three daughters and sons-in-law Bethann and William Kohne of Ashland, Dee Dee and Charles Hamilton Johnson and Beverly and Jeff Winbigler all of Mansfield; nine grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Judy and Junior Balddridge, Doris and Joe McGlone and Elizabeth Hamilton all of Mansfield; and Sue and Dellman of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Barbara Hamilton and special friend Clarence Allen Cash.
