El Dana Mae Langley, 73, of Topeka, died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at St. Francis Health Center.

She was born May 19, 1931, in Grant, Neb., the daughter of the Late and Pearl G. Rowley Langley.

She served in the Marine Corps. She worked as a nurse's aide for Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center. She had more than 35 years of federal service, with three years in the miliary and the rest working in the hospital.

She is survived by five sisters, Geneva May, Tulsa, Okla., and Frances Myers, Velata Tibbs, Ruth Vincent and Virginia Langley, all of Topeka; two brothers, Earl Langley, Mesa, Ariz., and Donald Langley, Carbondale; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Eskridge Cemetery. El Dana will lie in state after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
