Mr. Joe Bobinger, 84 of Long Beach died Friday, July 13, 2001 in Gulfport, MS.

Mr. Bobinger was a native and lifelong resident of the Coast.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Clifton & Mary Celesteen (Allen) Bobinger; a son, Joseph Bobinger; a grandson, Alvin Rufus Bobinger, Jr.; half brothers, Oscar A. and William R. Bobinger; sisters, Pearlie Bobinger and Vada A. Broussard; half sisters, Martha Bobinger, Virgel M. Parker and Martha McMurrian and his 1st wife and mother of his children, Mary Inez (McKay) Bobinger.

He is survived by his 2nd wife, (LIVING) (Vanlen) Bobinger, three sons, (LIVING) Bobinger of Goldsboro, N.C., (LIVING) Bobinger of California, and (LIVING) Bobinger of Erlanger, Ky.; two daughters, (LIVING) (Bobinger) Bond of Gulfport, and (LIVING) (Bobinger) Sharp of Goldsboro, N.C.; brothers, (LIVING) and (LIVING) Bobinger; sisters, (LIVING) Bates and (LIVING) Bond; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-granddaughter.

He donated his body to science.
