Published in The Paducah Sun (McCracken Co., KY), Sunday, August 24, 1975 - BARLOW, Ky., Aug. 23 Funeral services, for Thomas R. Blankenship will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home here. The Rev. Deward Hurst will officiate and burial will be in the Barlow Cemetery.

Mr. Blankenship, 63, died at his home here about 4 a.m. Friday following an extended illness.

He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Joliet, Ill.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Blankenship; three sons, Richard, Tommy and Bobby Blankenship, all of Barlow; two daughters, Mrs. Patsy Haynes of Wickliffe and Mrs. Betty Jo Waldon of Indianapolis, Ind.; four brothers, Garlin Blankenship of Barlow, James Blankenship of Moline, Ill., and Wesley and Kelly Blankenship, both of Joliet; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Messamore of Joliet and Mrs. Margaret Ward of Long Lake, Minn.; 14 grandchildren' and one great-grandchild.
