Nolan T. Bakewell, 75, of Twin Falls, Idaho went to heaven to meet with his brother Loyd T. Bakewell on Monday, February 8, 2016.
Nolan was born on March 27, 1939 to Thomas Oliver Bakewell and Margrett May Harrell Bakewell in Rupert, Idaho.
Nolan grew up in Declo, Idaho, graduating from Declo High School in 1959. He was a week-end warrior with the Idaho National Guard for 6 years and earned some distinguished honors from them. He married Kathleen L. Slack in Reno, Nevada on September 4, 1973. Nolan enjoyed being outdoors, he loved fishing, camping, beaver trapping in Rock Creek and growing a large garden to share with family and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, three step-granddaughters, Terri (Dan) Beeks, Jennifer Hopperstad and Angela (Ivan) Solis. Brothers, Jerry (Teresa) Bakewell, Roger (Roxanne) Bakewell and sister, Mayetta Fowler. As well as his great grandchildren, Matt and Elizabeth Beeks, Haylee, Haygen and Hayzlie Solis. Preceding him in death was his parents, step children, Carolyn Hopperstad and Robert Slack; his brother, Loyd T. Bakewell and sister, Peggy Costello.
