Ida was born to Lucius Oliver "Oliver" and Lucetta "Lucy" Snyder Bordner on Christmas Day, 1892. She was the first born of three children. Two others followed; John George Bordner and Lottie Florence Bordner. I do wish I knew more about her childhood.

Ida married Rudolph Frederick Johann Kruger November 23, 1917 in Fremont, Nebraska. Together they raised 5 girls and 5 boys(6th boy Herbie, died in infancy), living in Fremont their entire lives. Rudolph preceded Ida in death in 1965.
Other children were: Earl Rudolph Kruger (1921-1998) and Molly Kruger Rightmyer (d: 2020)
