PORTSMOUTH - Mabel H. Bailey, 80, of the 2400 block of Cutherell St., died Sept. 22, 2007, in her home. A native of Scottsdale, Pa., she was the widow of Albert J. Bailey and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Scottsdale. Survivors include five daughters, Karen C. Majette of Chesapeake, Patricia A. Jones (Anthony) of Virginia Beach, Sondra Reed (Donald), Debra Lee (Charles) and Brenda Bailey, all of Portsmouth; 10 sons, Richard Haith of Philadelphia, Ervin Bailey (Mary Lou) of Brewster, N.Y., Larry Bailey of Syracuse, N.Y., Daryl Bailey, James Bailey, Kenneth Bailey, Timothy Bailey, all of Portsmouth, Lloyd Bailey, Floyd Bailey, both of Norfolk, and Douglas Bailey (Carolyn) of Chesapeake; two sisters, Nora Haith of Philadelphia and June Haith of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. She was predeceased by one son, four sisters and two brothers.

A funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in United Full Gospel Revival Center, Chesapeake, with Pastor Janet B. Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Chesapeake. Viewing in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, will begin at noon today, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday for the procession to the church.
