PARISH CLERK R. DEAN FARR CITES RECORD IN CANDIDACY
In announcing his candidacy for reelection to the office of Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court in next January's primary, R. Dean Farr said that he would continue the service he has given tax payers of the parish during the ten years that he has held office.

Mr. Farr has been a resident of the parish since 1913. He is the father of four children, all of whom were born and reared in Ouachita Parish.

The present clerk has held the post since February, 1937. He was elected at that time to fill the unexpired term of the late Pat. S. Hamilton. Mr. Farr has been active in civic, church and fraternal affairs during his residence here. He is a member of the Central Baptist Church, the Masonic orders and the Pythian fraternity.

His supporters have said that during the tenure of office he has worked incessantly to improve the facilities of the clerk of court's office to the end that the records might be better preserved and made more accessible to the public.

According to Mr. Farr, the program now in progress to provide proper filing in progress for records accumulated during the war years, when equipment was not available, and for the constant increase in filings for the future years is being pushed to completion, which will be accomplished in a short time. Mr. Farr has in the past and will continue in the future to refrain from partisan politics, tending strictly to the office for which he has been elected and cooperating with whomever the people elect to our offices.
