Chas. S. Burr died at the state hospital for the insane at Middletown at 6 o'clock Sunday night, aged about 70 years. He was an old resident of Meriden, having come here in 1867. He conducted a wood business up to within a short time. Some time age he showed signs of breaking up, and his reason began to fail him, and three or four weeks ago he was taken to the asylum. His wife was in bad health and his condition was troubling her. After he went to Middletown he steadily declined until the end on Sunday. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Alfred A. Geisler of this city. The funeral will occur at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the house, 24 Putnam street, with interment in the East yard.
