Son of George W. and Sarah Hill Anderson, he was widowed, a pumper in the oil fields, last lived at Garmong Convalescent Home in Oil City, died there of congestive heart failure due to generalized arteriosclerosis, per death certificate 044983-63, whose informant was Harry Anderson of Franklin. Buried Apr 18 1963.

Oil City -- William W. Anderson, 86, of East Bissell Avenue, died at 2 pm Sunday. Born in Sligo August 2, 1876, he was a son of George W. and Sarah Hill Anderson.

He moved to Pinoak with his family when a small boy. He retired from South Penn Oil Company after 41 years service. He was a member of the Maccabees, and attended the Methodist Church.

He married Carrie Maude Dobensoeck, who is deceased.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Snodgrass White of Hollywood, FL, and Mrs. Mildred King of Miami, FL; a sister, Mrs. Mary Griffith of Pinoak; and a grandson, Harry Anderson of Franklin. Deceased are thee brothers, Ralph, James, and Cyrus; and a sister, Margaret.
