Clara was the daughter of Hermann Volkmar Christian Albrecht who was born and died in Saxony, Germany. Her mother was Agnes Emile Gertrude Michaelis or American spelling is Michels. Hermann and Agnes married Oct. 3, 1846 in Dresden, Geramny. Hermann was a pharmacist by profession. He passed away Dec. 27, 1872. Some time before 1869 Clara emigrated to the United States and on Feb. 9, 1869 she married Richard William Beyrich in Manhattan, NY. Richard was the son of Johann Wilhelm August Beyrich and Maria Theresa Klemm. He was born Aug. 31, 1841 in Germany and emigrated to the US on Aug. 20, 1866 on the ship Bavaria.
Her mother Agnes and two sisters Rosa (full name Maria Theresia) and Johanna emigrated to the US on March 20, 1873 on the ship Thuringa and on June 1, 1875 Clare's mother, her two sisters, and one brother (George) were living with she and her husband. George said he came to this country in in 1867.
Clara had four children Walter, Gertrude, Elsa, and Frieda Clara b. Aug. 10, 1879. Gertrude was born 1875 and passed away March 3/4, 1886 and was buried in Lot 24554 Section 141 grave unknown. Elsa got a passport in Dec. 1891 and traveled to Germany to travel and study. In 1900 she was living with her father and was not found after that time. Walter was not found after 1880 and Frieda married William Frederick Wengenroth on Dec. 1, 1904 in Manhattan and had two children Eleanor F. born Jan.22, 1906 in Manhattan and Ellwood B. Ellwood was born Dec. 15, 1913 and passed away Apr. 10, 2007 in Boonton, Morris Co., NJ. His nickname was Woody. He married Alma Adeles Wittnebel born Jun 19, 1919 NJ and passed away July 1985 in Boonton. They had one daughter.
When Richard passed away on Oct. 8, 1912 he was buried in grave # 2 with his wife and daughter. All of Clara's siblings are on FAG except for her brother George Albrecht. It is thought that he passed away Jan. 3, 1929 in the Bronx. George married Mary Ann Lee and together they had 13 children.
Clara's brother Horst married Karoline Louise (Lina) Sintenis and had two sons Horst Adolf Christian b. 1884 Ger. and Herbert Christian Albrecht b. July 27, 1885 in Dresden, Ger. Her sister Maria(Rosa)married Henry John Riedel and had two children Hans and Agnes. Hans had one daughter Rosalind who never married and is buried in the family plot. Agnes married Henry R. Jahn and had one son Henry Riedel Jahn who does not seem to have married. His ashes are buried with his mother's ashes. All are linked on FAG.
