Rosella A. Maly, age 92, of Larrabee, entered into eternal life on Friday March 4, 2016 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 8, 1924 in Bolt, town of Franklin, to the late Joseph and Mary Drab Karman. Rosella was a 1941 graduate of the West Division High School in Milwaukee. After taking secretarial and business courses, Rosella began working part-time at the Manitowoc County Courthouse before moving to work at the Richter Vinegar Co. and later at Imperial Eastman. She eventually began working as a Sales Service Representative at Paragon Electric Co. where she enjoyed working for 35 years, retiring in 1990. Rosella married Milton E. Maly on May 29, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. The couple celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 2014. Milton preceded her in death on December 10, 2014. Rosella and Milton lived on the family farm in Larrabee for their entire marriage. Life was always busy on the farm, but Rosella had the most amazing attitude. She was always positive and cheerful, and had a smile for everyone. She enjoyed working outdoors in her flower and vegetable gardens, playing cards, dancing to polka music, traveling, and bowling. Rosella bowled for 35 years with the same team and enjoyed going to the State and National tournaments. She especially loved spending time with her family. We have so many fond memories of family get-togethers through the years. She is survived by her children: Kathy Bernier, of Larrabee, John and Pat Maly, of Manitowoc, Michael Maly, of Manitowoc, Nancy and Allan Patch, of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren: Mark (Marie) Tuma, Steve (Sarah) Tuma, Jennifer Maly, Amy Maly, Alex Patch, and Lauren Patch; four great-grandchildren: Ashley (Tim) Henneman, Kyle Tuma, Kaden Tuma, Shawn Tuma; two great-great-grandchildren: Bryce and Harper Henneman. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son-in-law: Chuck Bernier, her brothers and sisters: Lillian Bates, Irene (Daniel) Staral, Mayme (Norman) Foreman, Ludger (Mildred) Karman, Joe (Rosemary) Karman, Lucy Karman, Richard Karman and by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: George and Ruby Skarda. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills with the Reverend Dennis Drury officiating, and assisted by Deacon Robert Wavrunek. Entombment will be in the Knollwood Mausoleum Hwy. 310 Manitowoc.
