Eugenia Legrare Brown Kaylor Hudspeth, 72, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 27, 1943, in Gaston County, the daughter of William Eugene “Gene” Brown and the late Anne Huffo Brown. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Richard Kaylor III after 40 years of marriage and Earl Hudspeth after eight years of marriage.

She was a member of Jackson County Baptist Church in Jefferson and attended Flint Grove Baptist Church in Gastonia. She retired from a career in health care after 30 years of service. Mrs. Hudspeth enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, and caring for animals on the farm.

Survivors in addition to her father, include her loving son and daughter-in-law, John Richard Kaylor IV and wife, Pelar, Jefferson; sister, Elaine B. Rafferty and husband, Michael, Charlotte, N.C.; nephew, Terry (Beverly) Rafferty; nieces, Jennifer Rafferty, Tracy (Ryan) Rafferty Denman; great-nephews, Jackson and William; as well as many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at 79 Memorial Drive, Jefferson, GA 30549, at Jackson County Baptist Church.
