Swedish matriarch. Mrs. Anderson and her husband Oscar were first cousins. They had seven children from 1884 to 1896. The eldest and youngest, daughters, were albinos and died of diphtheria on the same day in 1899. The family lived at the old Farneby farm estate in the village of Vrena, municipal Nyköping, province of Sudermania (Södermanland) south of Stockholm. Farneby had been in the family since 1839. The Andersons' only son became a vicar in the Swedish Lutheran Church, one daughter emigrated to Brazil and three stayed home at Farneby. The Brazilian daughter's three children were sent to Sweden for education and their grandmother Hilda was one of the relatives who took care of them. She died the same year that her youngest grandson returned to Brazil after having been in Sweden for most of World War II.
