ADMIRAL D. (TARR) HOWARD, of 701 North Grand Ave. E., died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 1959, at St. John's Hospital, age 74.
Survived by wife, Bertha; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Givins and Mrs. Kathryn Pettit, both of Springfield; one son, John, Topeka, Kan.; two brothers, William Howard and Herbert Carter, both of Springfield; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Calvacaunte, Mrs. Pearl Webb, Mrs. Mabel McKenzie and Mrs. Katheryn Barry, all of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were at O'Donnell Funeral Home.
Burial was in Roselawn cemetery.
