On the 1860 East Hanover, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania census, I found farmer John N Hampton, 60; Caroline Hampton, 48; farm hand Samuel Hampton, 19 and MARY Hampton, 13, all Pennsylvania born.

On the 1870 West Hanover P.O., East Hanover, Dauphin Co., PA census, I found school teacher David Boyer, 26; Mary Boyer, 24; Harry Boyer, 1 and Galon Boyer, 4/12, all Pennsylvania born.

On the 1880 Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania Census, I found David A. Boyer, 36; wife MARY E. Boyer, 34; sons: Galen (?), 10; John A., 4 and Harry, 1. All Pennsylvania born.

On the 1900 Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania Census, I found merchant David A. Boyer, 56, born Dec 1842; wife MARY E., 54, Aug 1845, had 6 kids, only 5 living; sons: Galen D., 30, Mar 1870; John A., 24, Dec 1875; Chester A., 19, May 1881; William, 15, Dec 1884. All Pennsylvania born.

On the 1910 East Hanover, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania census, I found building painter David A Boyer, 67; wife of 42 years, MARY E Boyer, 63, had 6 kids, 5 living and son and painter William M Boyer, 25, all Pennsylvania born.

On 12 Dec 1911, her husband David died.

On the 1920 District 342, Washington, D.C. census, I found treasury department clerk, Galen T Boyer, 49; other Boyers: wife Sadie J, 37; daughter Ruth A , 15; son Roy R, 12; mother MARY E, 73 and brother and shipping board clerk, William, 33, all Pennsylvania born.
