Born in Sudbury, Mathew was an avid hockey player and a true fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He dreamed of becoming a sports commentator and enjoyed soccer and wrestling. He was a skilled vanguard player. Mathew was a kind and generous person. He had a heart of gold, always concerned about others and willing to give the shirt off his back.
