Beloved son of Metro and Karen (Hubert). Cherished brother of Glen, and predeceased by Paul Robert Elaschuk. Loving grandson of Grace predeceased and Reginald, predeceased by Matt and Mary Elaschuk. Sadly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Born in Sudbury, Mathew was an avid hockey player and a true fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He dreamed of becoming a sports commentator and enjoyed soccer and wrestling. He was a skilled vanguard player. Mathew was a kind and generous person. He had a heart of gold, always concerned about others and willing to give the shirt off his back. Mathew was very proud of his parents and family.
