MRS. G.C. MAHONE DIES IN HOSPITAL; FUNERAL SET FOR TODAY
Mrs. Virginia Laura Mahone, 53 Apple Avenue, died at 6 yesterday morning in a Richmond hospital. She had been in ill health some time. Mrs. Mahone was a native of James City County, born June 1, 1876. She was a member of the Clive Branch Cristian Church, James City County. She was the wife of the late G.C. Mahone.
Mrs. Mahone is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Libby Robbins, New Kent County; Mrs. Mattie Branton, Whaleyville; and Mrs. Kate Butler, Hilton Village; two brothers, George Collier and Frank Collier, Newport News; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 this afternoon at the Caffee Funeral chapel by the Reverend Jesse H. Dollar. Interment will be in Greenlawn cemetary.
Active pallbearers will be Hilton Maney, Ashton Crockett, Binford Godsey, W.T. Byrum, H.T. Mitchell and H.D. Worthington. Honorary pallbearers will be other friends of the family.
