Lester Van Hilborn
PERSIA, IOWA - Lester Van Hilborn, 60, Persia business man, was found dead at 7 a.m. Saturday in bed by his wife at his home. County Coroner Harold M. Hennessey, who said Mr. Hilborn had been dead for about four hours, ruled death due to a heart attack.
He operated a produce station in Persia, Iowa and was a member of the city council. He was a veteran of World War I and had been active in Southwest Iowa Legion affairs.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Dean, at home; one daughter, Dorothy Hilborn of Portland, Oregon; and a brother, Dean, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Body is at Persia funeral home. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
