Edward Maurice Brennan, age 84, died Sunday, September 24, 2006, at William Beaumont Hospital, in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was born February 5, 1922, in Highland Park, to Edward M. and Anna (McDermott) Brennan. He was a resident of Clawson for 52 years.

He graduated from St. Benedict High School, in Highland Park.

Mr. Brennan was a proud veteran of the United States Army Air Force, from January, 1943 to February, 1946. He served in the India-Burma Theater, and earned a Victory Medal, an Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon w/1 Bronze Battle Star, 4 Overseas Service Bars, 1 Service Stripe and a Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Brennan was a retired electrician for General Motors Truck and Coach Division.

He enjoyed camping, hunting, bowling and playing pinochle. He was a longtime member of Guardian Angels Church, in Clawson, the Knights of Columbus, in Clawson, and St. Benedict's Alumni Association, Highland Park.

Husband of the late Doris (nee Houlihan), deceased September 25, 1993.
Father of Margaret Stack (Michael), Timothy Brennan, Jean Brennan, and Patricia Chanteloup.
Grandfather of Mary Stack, Patrick Stack (Amber), Ellen Dart (Will), Dale Brennan, Anne Stack and John Chanteloup.
Great-grandfather of Daniel and Michael Stack and Liam Dart.
Also survived by special friend, Marion Dalbec.

Family will receive friends at A. J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd., Troy (between Maple and Big Beaver Roads), Wednesday, September 27, 2006, from 4-8pm and Thursday, September 28, from 3-8pm, with a Rosary service Thursday at 7 PM.

Funeral Mass Friday, September 29, 2006 - 10:00am at Guardian Angels Church, 581 E. Fourteen Mile, Clawson, with Reverend Gerry LeBoeuf officiating. Visitation at church begins Friday at 9:30am.

Interment: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan
