"J. P. Johns, 83, died this morning at 3 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. H. Daughtrey, 2127 Twelfth avenue, following an illness of four months.
Besides his widow, and Mrs. Daughtrey, with whom he had made his home for the past six years, Mr. Johns is survived by the following children: W. G. Johns, St. Petersburg, G. P. Johns, Rapid City, South Dakota; Mrs. A. F. Burnham, Punta Gorda; and Mrs. Mollie Capo, Bradenton.
Mr. Johns was a native of Florida. During his residence in Bradenton, he had made many friends, news of the passing being greatly deplored by all who knew him.
The funeral will be held at the Turner chapel Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the Revs. E. Watt Smith and L. R. Long of the Methodist church officiating, with interment in the Fogartyville cemetery.

"Funeral services for J. P. Johns, 83, who died yesterday after a four months' illness, were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Turner chapel, the Revs. E. Watt Smith and L. R. Long of the Methodist church officiating.
The services were largely attended by the friends of the deceased and his family. The pallbearers were R. E. Strong, Henry Griggs, Joseph and F. M. Cameron, O. L. Robinson and Thomas Sullivan. Interment was in the Fogartville cemetery."
