William Gibson was born in Gasconade/Maries Co, MO. He married Martha Ann Powers in Osage Co, MO Nov 10, 1842. They were blessed with 9 children who survived.
William served during the Civil War, in Maries County, Battalion, Company B.
King's History of Maries County states William lived in Maries County, until a few years past 1880.
William lived most of his married life within a few miles of Hughes Cem. Next to Martha Gibson's grave I found a large/huge rock almost totally covered with dirt. There is no known record of William's burial at Hughes Cem., but I believe his remains are there.
